About the event
Would you like your botanical paintings to be seen and collected? The TABA botanical art exhibition is calling for entries publicly!
The vision of the TABA is to promote botanical art to be recognized as an art field significant and valued that has made a significant contribution to the creation of art in the 21st century. Botanical art plays a unique role on ecology and science related education, and aesthetic life enrichment. Therefore, it has become an important task of TABA to hold high-quality botanical art exhibitions to the public. It is TABA's task to make the works of artists who insist on creation become the beauty that everyone yearns for. At the same time, TABA also seek cooperation with various parties in the society to jointly organize exhibitions, and launch a feast that combines rational science and aesthetic perception.
"Plantae Documentary Plant Documentary—The Modern Botanical Painting Art Exhibition" is the largest art exhibition organized by TABA every year for botanical artists. It is the most indicative botanical art exhibition in the country. In this event, TABA is calling for entries of excellent botanical painting art works from the public. After the review, selection and co-exhibiting, TABA also prepares awards for you to win, including certificates of merit, prizes and media publicity. In addition, your work will have the opportunity to be exhibited at the Global Botanical Art Day and more likely to be purchased by TABA.
Details of the solicitation activities for artists from overseas:
- Subject: Plants (any type).
- Exhibition period: 2022/12/28~2023/2/26
- Venue: Cheng-Mei Art Gallery
- Format: It must conform to the botanical painting art format, with accurate and true illustration of plant morphology as the first priority, and in line with aesthetic appreciation values.
- Media: Any (pencil, colored pencil, watercolor, oil, pastel, paper, canvas...).
- Size: Not limited, but the longest side of the original painting must not exceed 85 cm.
- Date of Creation: Must be a work within the past three years.
- Selection: High-definition image electronic files (tif, jpg) shall be used as the review object, and the resolution shall not be lower than 300 dpi. Each person is limited to 3 entries.
- Collection period: 2022/7/1 (9:00am) ~ 10/31 (5pm)
- Application fee: Free for artists from overseas.
- Application method: Fill out the attached Entry Form and send it to admin@npotaba.online. The application process is completed only after receiving the confirmation mail from TABA.
- Result announcement: The selection results will be notified on 11/18 via email. TABA will contact you to confirm the selected works for sale or not.
- Display (only for artists from overseas): Prints. TABA will be responsible for output and framing. The prints will not returned to the artists after the exhibition.
- If any collector want to buy your original arts exhibited in prints, TABA will help on the deal.
Legal Notices:
Review and selection are the professional right of the TABA. Once the results are released, no one is allowed to claim dissent or conduct slander or disruptive behavior.
All selected exhibitors have the responsibility to sign the participation agreement. Once signed, the exhibitors must fulfill the obligation to participate in the exhibition. If there is any violation of the agreement, they must compensate the TABA and the gallery for losses.
Once again reminding the importance of the copyright law, the TABA only accepts the application from the legal owner of the copyright. Any false claim that the work is original, the applicant shall bear all legal responsibilities, and shall be responsible for the damage compensation of all parties whose rights and interests are damaged.
